ExxonMobil is providing a unique opportunity for local educators to bring innovative STEM projects into the classroom. The company, in partnership with the Foundation for EBR Schools, is awarding $2,500 grants to 4th–12th grade math and science teachers in East Baton Rouge Parish schools.
The Star STEM Teacher Grant program is designed to empower teachers to implement hands-on, classroom-based STEM projects that enhance student engagement and real-world problem-solving skills. A total of 30 grants will be awarded this year, with 15 for mathematics educators and 15 for science educators.
Applicants are required to submit a project plan outlining objectives, student impact, timeline, and budget. Projects must align with classroom learning goals and receive prior approval from school supervisors. Selected educators will have the funding to bring creative STEM lessons to life, fostering curiosity and innovation in the next generation of scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.
Applications are open now, and educators are encouraged to submit their proposals soon. This initiative reinforces ExxonMobil’s commitment to supporting local education and preparing students for STEM careers.
