🌟An honor for an angel. 🌟
Longtime Tara High teacher and coach Barry Jackson was among 10 honorees recognized with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation’s Angel Award during a special ceremony Monday at LSU’s Lod Cook Center.
The Angel Award celebrates “everyday Louisianians” who make extraordinary contributions to improving the health and lives of children across the state. Coach Jackson has helped guide more than 1,500 students to graduation. Each honoree receives a $30,000 grant to direct to a local nonprofit of their choice.
“It is just humbling to know that God has chosen to use me to be a part of what He desires to do through me,” Jackson shared with local media.
