🎶💃 Nearly 200 students from across the district came together for the second annual District Dance Intensive at the old Capitol High!
The two-day event was filled with movement, creativity and community, as students explored a variety of dance styles and genres under the guidance of talented instructors.
Participating schools included:
McKinley Middle, Westdale Middle, Sherwood Middle, Park Forest Middle, Belfair Montessori, Broadmoor High, Northeast High, BRCVPA, Crestworth Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Broadmoor Elementary, Villa Del Rey Elementary, and Forest Heights.

The recognition is part of the Gordon Gives & Tan Cares Bulletin Board, an initiative by attorney Gordon McKernan and radio personality Latangela Fay to celebrate area teachers who make an extraordinary impact in and beyond the classroom.
Parker, who is blind, recently led a White Cane Safety Day event at Dufrocq, giving students a hands-on look at how people who are blind navigate the world.
