🎉 Congratulations to Anthony Parker, a paraprofessional at The Dufrocq School, for being honored as Teacher of the Month on a prominent Baton Rouge billboard! 🌟
The recognition is part of the Gordon Gives & Tan Cares Bulletin Board, an initiative by attorney Gordon McKernan and radio personality Latangela Fay to celebrate area teachers who make an extraordinary impact in and beyond the classroom.
Parker, who is blind, recently led a White Cane Safety Day event at Dufrocq, giving students a hands-on look at how people who are blind navigate the world.
🗣 Gordon McKernan shared:
"Educators like him don’t just teach lessons; they shape confidence, spark curiosity, and show students what they’re capable of. Their dedication reaches far beyond the classroom, leaving a lasting impression that stays with their students for years to come. We’re proud to support local educators who go above and beyond for their students every day!"💙
