In her first year as a classroom teacher after serving as a paraprofessional, she has 9 years at Parkview and 14 years of experience with EBR. She believes every child is unique and needs guidance in both life skills and classroom learning. Families explored reading strategies in core classes to strengthen comprehension and writing skills. Students and parents teamed up to compete in fun math games focused on building fluency.👏

Former LSU Tiger and NBA player Ronald Dupree is leading an exciting pilot program for 4th and 5th-grade magnet students with ARC Hoops, a web-based platform that brings math and data science concepts to life through basketball. Students engaged with interactive video lessons, data analysis, and friendly classroom challenges, all while strengthening their critical thinking skills and connecting their learning to real-world applications.

Highland Elementary and Sonic on Perkins collaborated with the debut of the school’s very own signature drink, the Roaring Tiger.
Highland ES is the first and only school to have a signature drink with Sonic. Even better, 10 percent of the proceeds from every Roaring Tiger sold go directly back to support the school. This partnership highlights school pride, community support, and creative ways to give back.
