🏆 Hang another banner in the Woodlawn High rafters — and add a trophy. The host and undefeated Lady Panthers (6-0) clinched their second-straight EBR Parish Girls Basketball Tournament title with a narrow 41–40 win over Liberty on Wednesday.
Woodlawn also claimed the inaugural traveling trophy, which will now reside each year at the home of the champion.
A huge thank you to all 11 participating schools, the volunteers and the community for making this one of the best girls tournaments yet.

Melissa is a 4th-grade science and social studies teacher at WHAM. Spending 12 years with EBR. She believes in hands-on learning, which makes science an enjoyable experience. She loves the idea of having pets in the classroom, as it teaches responsibility and fosters a love for animals. What kids do outside of the classroom is essential; it`s not just about test scores. Crestworth Early Learning Center and Crestworth Elementary held a meaningful ceremony on Friday to respectfully retire their worn American flag and raise a new one. The Istrouma High JROTC and Boy Scouts from Crestworth led the ceremony with dignity and care, ensuring this tradition was carried out with honor.
